Are these services covered by my extended health benefits?
Registered massage therapy distinguishes itself from other forms of massage practice, in that it is recognized under provincial health legislation, and as a result many extended health care plans provide partial or full coverage per treatment, often with a maximum total allowed in a year. Consult your health insurance company or policy guide regarding coverage details.
As with other health care practitioners, you will be provided with a detailed receipt containing your Massage therapist’s registration number that can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement.
