Known as the grandfather of massage, Tui-Na was developed in China over 5000 years ago. This bodywork encompasses reflexology, acupressure and massage. Tui-Na works on the energy channels and points on the body using the same principles as acupuncture except with the use of hands and fingers instead of needles. This amazing massage session invigorates blood, increases circulation, relieves pain, reduces stress and eases tense, tight muscles.
Cupping involves the application of glass cups, which adhere to the body by the use of heat. You do not feel the heat, but you will feel the cup on the skin. The cups are used over certain acupuncture points and/or over areas of pain. The idea is that stagnation by lack of circulation in the muscles and body tissues will lead to pain and other illnesses. Cupping improves the circulation in these areas. The pain is alleviated and underlying health issues are often helped.
Facial cupping is a traditional anti-aging treatment that is safe, comfortable and highly effective. These small glass cups massage the face and neck draining excess fluids and toxins, bringing blood flow to stagnant muscles and skin. There are no adverse side effects, lasting marks nor recovery time needed from this treatment.
- Activates the lymphatic drainage to eliminate toxins, cellular waste-stimulates fibroblasts to increase collagen production & elasticity smoothing fine lines.
- Increases circulation and absorption of nutrients to the skin
- Increases blood lymph to the face brightening lusterless skin
- Breaks up deep facial scarring
